This item is made from fast growing, environmentally friendly bamboo. Bamboo is good because it requires no replanting after harvesting. When a tree is cut down it is gone forever, but after harvesting bamboo just keeps on growing. This is because it has an extensive net like root system that continues to send up new shoots. It also provides natural countenance for a planet with increasing CO2 emissions. It releases more oxygen than the equivalent strands of trees, as much as 35% in some instances.
